The Magnificent Bison
I have visited 'Pokazowa Zagroda Żubrow' - a Bison sanctuary thanks to which European Bison was re-introduced to Polish woodlands after a near extinction in 1919. Currently there are around 1800 Bisons in Poland. I have further plans to photograph them in a couple of months in Puszcza Białowieska. I have spent the day observing and learning about Bison behaviour so that when I meet them in the wild later this year I will have a better idea of what to expect.
The autumn is slowly arriving here in Lesser Poland, it's my favourite time of the year. For the next couple of weeks, I will try my best to capture the change in seasons. My plan is to focus on woodlands and perhaps a colourful bird setup. To start with, here are a couple of photos I took on a misty sunrise. The goal was to photograph the Nidzica castle, but the visibility was too poor to be able to see it from my viewpoint. The situation forced me to compromise and make the most of the beautiful morning, in a nearby location.
