Getting to grips with weather
As a landscape photographer, it's essential to understand the basics of weather conditions, how clouds behave and when certain conditions happen. I feel like I have built up my knowledge on this subject to a good standard over the years, but during the last year in Poland, while living near the mountains I had specific weather conditions in mind that I wanted to photograph, but the weather forecast was never correct!
The weather conditions changed so fast it was practically impossible to predict what was going to happen. During this time I started looking more into Meteorograms and into how different conditions are created. Now that university is out of the way I have some free time, so I have been learning a lot more about the weather and I feel like this is going to help me immensely when photographing landscapes. More than anything, it's going to save me time and money! If I can predict the weather correctly, I won't need to revisit locations so many times! So far I have been looking into a fog, weather fronts and rain, it's all very exciting and I have been making notes to share on here too! Now I just need to be patient to wait for these conditions so I can photograph them!
